The deceased, Seliam Wangsa, was brutally attacked by the National Socialist Council of Nagaland last year as well and had sustained severe bullet injuries.
The incident occurred when around 25 people were crossing the old bridge over a stream in the village, over 100 kms from Pune. The iron bridge is 25 years old and was rusting at the foundation due to stream water.
A thick haze has engulfed the national capital two days ahead of Diwali, following which, experts have warned, the air quality is likely to worsen further due to local factors.
