Delhi's Air Quality 'Improves' to Very Poor Category After Wind Speed Picks Up

The overall air quality index of Delhi was recorded at 366 by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). On Tuesday, the city recorded the worst air quality of the season after pollution level turned severe at 401.
The incident occurred when around 25 people were crossing the old bridge over a stream in the village, over 100 kms from Pune. The iron bridge is 25 years old and was rusting at the foundation due to stream water.
Ophthalmologist Dr Govinda Venkataswamy, the founder of Aravind Eye Hospital, was conferred the Padmashree award in 1973 for his service to the nation.
